Peter Høeg
M.A. in literature, is an author. His books is translated and published in more than thirty languages. Besides writing novels (i.a. Miss Smilla’s Feeling for Snow and The Susan Effect), Peter is engaged in bringing empathy, compassion and presence into educational institutions. With, among others, Jesper Juul, Helle Jensen, Jes Bertelsen and Steen Hildebrandt, he is a founding member of The Danish Society for the Promotion of Life Wisdom in Children. In this context he has co-written books on empathy in the school (i.a. Empathy).
He is a long-term meditation practitioner and teaches meditation, primarily in Denmark, at his and his partners, Hannelis, platform Kontemplation.dk and at the lay monastery Vaekstcenteret.
