KONTEMPLATION
KONTEMPLATION
Bringing presence, compassion, and body awareness into everyday life.
KONTEMPLATION is a community-based laboratory and communication platform dedicated to the exploration and practice of meditation, compassion, and presence. We offer contemplative training programs in accessible, non-dogmatic ways—rooted in everyday life and open to people from all walks of life.
GUIDED MEDITATIONS
Our practice library offers guided meditations from our teachers, available to stream or download—here to support and gently inspire your personal practice.
RETREAT IN IMAGES
We are based in Denmark, with most of our retreats taking place on the wild shores of the North Sea, at the retreat center Øster Løkke. Our urban contemplative programs are held in Aarhus and Copenhagen, while our supervision and weekend programs are offered in the village of Nørre Snede.
RETREATS AND PROGRAMS
We offer a range of programs and community activities, including retreats, introductory trainings, online courses, and supervision.
TEAM
Kontemplation is shaped by the contributions of people with diverse backgrounds, skills, and life experiences, who share a commitment to contemplative practice and sustainable ways of living that feel meaningful and relevant in a contemporary world.
Our contemplative practice library is primarily in Scandinavian languages (Danish and Norwegian), but we are gradually expanding it to be more inclusive of our international students. We appreciate your patience as we continue to add audio files and videos in English and German.
All practices can be streamed or downloaded to support and inspire your practice at home.
